Got the early goal then kept the ball in the fridge, Laporte unlucky not to add a second
You haven't done Norwich or Southampton away then! It's their main chant too.
I don't have any issue with small clubs. Good luck to them. Holding us to 1-0 is a major feat. 7 against Leeds and 6 against Leicester - their fans must have feared the worst.
They used to get 4k. Now cutting their cloth realistically with a new 17,000 stadium. I like to have new teams in. Just hope they make life as difficult for everyone else. Good luck to them. Also, something refreshing about Toney and Fern getting snidey digs in on each other.
Overall, glad that one's out of the way with the points in the bag, and we move on to deal with the Arse.
Sorry Matron!
Ake, Foden, etc etc...Agreed.
Not really here to talk about the game - credit to Pep for a tactically well executed three points. I am here to talk about a more important issue; toilets.
We all know that there are never enough at any away ground, but last night, in addition to the regular cubicles full of those having a fag/emptying a bag up their nose, it made me proud to be a Blue to see a whole load of lads at the end of the game decide that they didn't want to queue for the three urinals and instead pissed in the sink. Lovely.
I know facilities are always appalling, and I know you've all been on the lash since getting on the coach at 2pm...but I think some better urination management is in order...
Fans swearing at players in news to the pAthletic journo.Haha! Are we sure it wasn't some of our fans? He seems to have upset a couple over the last fortnight.
Hello All
Enjoyed the game last night.
Starting with City first.
Impressed with Foden and Ake always made himself available.
Not sure about your CBs and I don't think Grealish looked comfortable playing wide left.
The thing that struck me was you seemed to a back four, but has soon as you had the ball you incredibly quickly seem to have FBs into WBs attacking and Fernandinho filling into cover. I also think Jesus was just played wide right to get him the team to give him minutes.
Not arguing with the result and we take it on the chin.
Now for Brentford.
We are not a team that will ever park the bus, if you look at our goals scored for the past few seasons and even this season.
The problem we had was are crippled with injuries and CV19. Missing was
Best midfielders Norgaard and Janelt and long term injury Josh De Silva
Our only decent LB Rico Henry.
Record signing Ajer at CB
Toneys strike partner Mbweumo.
Plus 3 or 4 players who would give us options of the bench.
As a result we 3 defenders playing with 12 games between them and quite young. A makeshift midfield and strike force. Also Toney has to play every minute of every game and looked knackered.
If we had gone completely open and lost the ball in transition, you would have probably have scored 4 or more. Also the manager was wary of destroying young players confidence.
With our first 11 we scored 3 V Liverpool and should have beat Chelsea but lost 1 0.
We do have the lowest budget and the smallest stadium etc, but the club is well run and we are all committed to keep trying to progress BFC. We do things the right way, but BREXIT has hurt our operating model as we don't have such opportunities of buying cheap and selling high and reinvesting etc etc.
I met a couple of City fans who came on a coach and were drinking in the New Inn - one was on crutches and the other one was deaf. And they supported City for donkeys years - poor blokes Good lads.
I hope those who went enjoyed their visit. The new stadium is very very close to the Thames for a few drinks. If you go again simply Google Strand on the Green and you will find numerous pubs.
Good luck for the rest of the season apart from when we play you in February.
Stadium is cute as fuck.
I saw the beer prices were cheap for PL but then they changed. Is that an hour before kick off thing?BFC played She Bangs The Drum especially for you at half time. Never heard it played before at BFC.
Being a triangular site and very tight it does make it a bit different.
