And one, or two, wanted Pep to field all our starts to be kicked to fuck on the eve of 2 of the biggest games of our season in the meaningless Brentford Cup Final.

Thank fuck this didn't happen.

Surely only a Rag would have wanted us to field all our best players today and risk injuries.

Kelvin Phillips does not belong at this club. At the very least Jack and others showed flashes in their first years. This has been downright ugly every step of the way. No idea what happens here because I doubt the club would sell him after just one year.

It's weird how I dreaded this game months ago.. didn't see Brentford game being easy.. thankfully it didn't matter.

But that game should be seared in the memory of the first team since Brentford is almost exactly how Inter play and we couldn't slice them open but they sliced us open and did the double against us.

We have stuff that needs fixing for the CL final!

Remember when Liverpool and Spurs had 2 weeks without competitive football before the CL final and it was basically the worst CL final in living memory?

Hope our big players can get up for it after so long without playing a meaningful game.

We have the FA cup final to get uo to speed.

For me winning the premier league is always the main target and we achieved it with games to spare. Champions again. Of course I want to win both finals and it will feel a disappointing season if we don't, but really it won't be when we reflect.

Brighton and Brentford were always 2 tough games. If we really wanted to win both games we would need to pick our strongest 11.

Then if we do that we risk injuries and more fatigue. So any rhythm could be lost as we are forced to bring in squad players for the finals.

Never any guarantees in football but it’s best we go into the next 2 games with our players as fresh and fit as possible.
