Get one last game out of Stones before his international duty curse, Dias needs dropping, he seems to be getting slower by the day. Rodri shouldn't be starting. Nico in the hole with bernardo alongside him centrally. I'd love to see kovacic return ideally but I dont think a start is in him yet. Get reijnders on the bench, foden central, toss up between bobb and savinho for right wing, neither have staked a realclaim for it.

This game will be a big forecaster for the season we have in store, fail to win, we can expect another wasted season of taking 2 steps forward, 1 step back. Get a win though and we can go into the international break in positive spirits with something to build upon.

Could see how unfit Rodders is when he was running back chasing a Monaco player early on the game.

He also seemed to be limping a little to me going off.

I'd be leaving him out in Sunday and hopefully Spain will do the same.

Playing away on a Wednesday night in the Champions League, and then away in the PL on a Saturday is historically difficult even for a really confident side. I don't think Brentford are as strong this season as they were last, but it's not difficult to imagine City with 66% possession getting done on the counter or through a set-piece. Rodri's form and fitness is a concern. He remains very important to us. We are nursing him through games at the moment.

Could really do with khusanovs pace and energy for this one. Even if hes not fit im still reasonably confident - we played well last night and going off haalands interview we look like we've got the determination to bounce back

These injuries are killing us man. Imagine if we had Marmoush, Cherki and RAN to rotate

and Kushanov.

I think they will all be back after Brentford.

All teams have injuries though. 3-4 out is average.
