It's so tempting to get cocky at this stage...Lovely six-point lead. Some commentators are already making out it's all over, and in fact 'unfair' because City are so good.

We must resist. No opponent must be underestimated, least of all on their own pitch.
I hope that the XI that goes out there, however it is made up, will be 100% focused. Every point counts. We can relax when and if we're 10 points ahead with three games to go. Not before.

City were last at Brentford for an F.A. Cup tie (lost) in the late '80s. Wasn't there but seem to recall reports of heavy-handed policing in the ground with many arrests. Anyone confirm this?

I was there but cant remember.

Wouldn’t mind seeing a 3-4-3 tonight, with JS RD & AL all starting & Ake getting a good 30 minutes. Any 2 from 3 of KDB Bernie & Gundo in midfield, and Joao & Zinny wingbacks, as alluded to above Foden Jesus & Grealish up top. The system suits player availability & We need a decent aerial presence as Brentford are good at set pieces & pick up a lot of second balls in the box, Rodri’s heading is very under valued so having 3 CB’s should cover him. I’ve also enjoyed Kev playing deeper in the past. Raz & Riyad in reserve if we need a goal late on

It doesn't upset me, for one, but it's part of those niggling little things that have a cumulative effect. In itself, it's nothing — a footling detail. But you add them together and you end up over many years with a mountain of bias. One grows weary of it.
It's only United and Liverpool who benefit from this kind of thing. The United/Liverpool mythology spills over into Europe, too. Recently I've been watching City's matches, and one or two others, on RMC — the French sports tv channel. I turn the commentary down completely (and have Manchester Radio on in a second window, to get my commentary) because they're pig ignorant of the actual history of English football (which they only started to pay attention to with the invention of satellite tv), and because they've got their tongues so far up Liverpool and United's fundament that it's just sickening.

Well let them have their little meaningless victories like coming before us on a news banner !
In the meanwhile we will keep shoving trophy after trophy down their throats.
