Just don’t understand all this WTF before nearly every post you reply to, bit OTT isn’t it , and we’re all passionate about the beautiful game that’s why we’ve followed football for decades, Brentford and there manager aren’t immune to criticism regardless of there achievements of a small club.

Because I am not sure what they have done wrong? And the hatred towards them?

Agree largely with this. I think some posters need to look up the definition of “amazing” and “incredible” with regard to this lot reaching the top flight - small clubs achieve this reasonably often and it isn’t therefore particularly extraordinary

Spot on about the chants. Sadly we all know that on Wednesday night the atmosphere thread will be full of comments from blues hammering our support and bemoaning the fact that their understandably giddy fans were out singing us even at 6-0 down

Brentford were relegated into the fourth tier in 1998, so 24 years later to be playing and competing in the worlds strongest league is a great achievement.

It’s a good achievement but not amazing or incredible. Sport is full of zero to hero tales.

Christmas 98 we were 16th in div 3, twelve yrs later we’re ten mins away from holding spurs to a draw that most likely would’ve seen us reach the CL. That’s a better achievement.

It’s all subjective though I suppose.

A big difference for a large historical big city club (us) to Brentford.

As said earlier as a club despite our rich history, we are constantly abused by the "historical elite" clubs and the UK media, yet we are guilty of doing just the same for smaller clubs like Brentford.

If the “many ways” include:

Played in the PL
Wore a uniform
Ran on the field with his team mates
Played in midfield
Played for his country

…then, yes, but that is where “on a par with David Silva” ends!

We bloody struggled against them at their place so; m not expecting anything but another hard slog on Wednesday, but I hope I'm wrong.The never guilty have eaten into our goal difference and will probably improve it against shellshocked Leicester on Thursday, so a few goals for us wouldn't go amiss

He was never anywhere near Dave Silva's level. That's why he ended up in Italy instead of one of the big Spanish clubs, like he thought he would do.
