He's like the teacher who wants his pupils to know he has the latest iPhone and let's them call him by his first name. Carol Vorderman is another that tries too hard to dumb herself down.
It's as if they're trying to hide the fact that they're intelligent. I like both of them and it's a shame that they feel they to dumb themselves down to appease the media and wider public.

Has put Manchester University on the map as the centre of the Physics world. To enrol for an astrophysical degree you need to have three A** in maths, physics and chemistry as minimum.

I like him and enjoy his BBC shows.

Not sure he's dumbing down at all, as although I watch them, I still don't understand 90% of what he says, but maybe that's just me.

Someone started a thread about Brian Cox and asked for opinions on him. You like him. Good.
I gave my opinion of him. Instead of just disagreeing, you've got all arsey about it. If you're having a bad day at work, have a brew and a smoke or something.
I disagree with a lot of opinions on here. All I do is back my opinion up. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes wrong. I just never feel the need to call posters names or make shitty remarks.UIt's pointless

Im watching his latest series, he just flew in a plane faster than the earths rotation so the sun started rising in the west after it had set.

What do we think of the Oldham professor............Good, bad, twatish, brilliant, a gobshite ?

He's a bit irritating tbh. Don't like the condescending tone of voice, he speaks to his viewers the same way the missus speaks to our 15 month old.

I quite like The Infinite Monkey Cage on Rad 4 but his tv stuff is irritating and dumbed down to imbecile level.
