Im watching his latest series, he just flew in a plane faster than the earths rotation so the sun started rising in the west after it had set.

What do we think of the Oldham professor............Good, bad, twatish, brilliant, a gobshite ?

Tries to use swearwords to ingratiate himself to today's yoof to disguise the fact that he's a nerd.
Clever lad though.

Quite like him me, makes a change from stuffy, boring scientists with no charisma.

Has put Manchester University on the map as the centre of the Physics world. To enrol for an astrophysical degree you need to have three A** in maths, physics and chemistry as minimum.

He's an excellent physicist and a wonderful populiser of science.

His podcast 'The Infinite Minkey Cage' is excellent and YouTube also has some great lectures of his.

He and Jim al-Khalili are the best things to happen to popular science since Carl Sagan passed away.

Agreed. People moaning about the money the BBC spend on his programme dont seem to mind them throwing money at Eastenders and The Hairy Bikers. Bizarre
