Brian Wilson RIP

Sad news. A troubled soul - I read the book Catch A Wave last year and what a torrid life he has had - let down by a lot of people. But as you say, a musical genius.
Yeah, he had an up and down life. Suffered with depression, and turned to cocaine and LSD as a means of coping. Almost completely deaf in his right ear (which I didn't know). You'd imagine that would be a drawback to a musician, but it didn't seem to hold him back. If you haven't, listen to Pet Sounds. An album that certain popular bands on here could only have a wet dream about making.

A genuine musical genius who wrote some of the most influential music of the 60s and the Century. Pet Sounds and Good Vibrations will be the main focus but there's countless other great songs and albums.

RIP legend.

Some cracking tunes that gave you the good vibe feeling.
Up against the Beatles and performed admirably.

Pet Sounds was released in 1966 yet sounds as good today as it did back then. Struggling to think of any artist from the last few years who will still be played in nearly 60 years time. No wonder festivals are dire these days.
