Brian Wilson RIP

Sad news, not unexpected though.

What a brilliant composer he was. Every interview I've seen of him, he seemed a very positive and pure soul, child-like in a way. The nature of his personality probably was never cut out for the world his talent took him to.

R.I.P.

his finest work was a few decades before I was even born and yet it's still some of my favourite music and I know others in my generation feel the same, especially musicians. It's undeniably fucking great.

I made it to California on my first visit to the U.S. in '69 and heard his music every day, endless sunshine and golden girls wearing not very much.

A stranger and more parochial memory is that "Sloop John B" always seemed to be playing at the Stretford Bowl whenever I was in there on a Saturday morning before walking over to Maine Road.

R.I.P. Brian.
That must have been a real buzz for (guessing here, so forgive me) a lad in his teens?

RIP Brian Wilson , fortunately for us God wasn't the only one who knew how good a singer songwriter your were.

2:45 in explains where this musical giant was in the pecking order of that group, another great song too. In those days you took your girlfriend to the boy band concerts ;-)
