They're at the limits by the looks of it which westdids says above, better than what you see alot of the time with 10 years and out in half. Personally think they are both irreparable and will never be released.

Definitely vibes of Hindley and Brady.

How old were they when they committed their crimes ?

Makes you wonder what causes people to become like these two, or hindley and brady for that matter.

Sadly they will get out as relatively young people, and goodness knows what being in prison will make them into, it ceratinly won't improve them.

I know nothing apart from what's been reported, but 3 familes have been devastated here, not just 1.

The girl wrote down plans to kill individuals who were guarding her while on remand. She is beyond redemption and imo should never be released, why would you take the chance.

Whole life sentences are very rare. Killer nurse Lucy Letby and Grindr killer Stephen Port are two recent ones I can think of. Multiple victims each time. I’m also assuming Fred West, Harold Shipman etc.

They’ve used a few TikTok clips Brianna Ghey uploaded and she seemed funny, quirky and full of love.

As well as pure evil, prejudice and jealousy came in to this too. Jenkinson deranged and Ratcliffe manipulated.

Fred West killed himself in his cell whilst on remand before it got to trial.

The judge says Ratcliffe "seemed to have seen Scarlett's plans as a project" and was happy to help carry them out "when you had nothing better to do".

He was not involved in Jenkinson's initial plot to kill Brianna Ghey, where the trans teenager was poisoned, but he had "helped with suggestions" after the plan failed.

Mrs Justice Yip says it would be "wholly wrong" to suggest Ratcliffe was under Jenkinson's control, and she does "acknowledge you were not the driving force behind the plan to kill Brianna".

A heinous case. The world is a wicked place at times.

I get there will be anger at whole life tariffs being reserved but cases involving killers who are still legally minors are delicate. It's not the fault of the judge or the prosecution team; there are thresholds and criteria within the law that they have to consider when sentencing. Both killers will be released by the time they are forty, so you have to hope the system will have rehabilitated them by that point. That's no consolation for the poor girl's family, I know; but let's pray they find the strength to get through day by day.
