On behalf of the OP can I thank you for your professional, well thought through opinion and the helpful advice to remedy the situation.OP, have you bricked up your back door ? If so that renders my helpful advices of kicking it in and torching the gaff null and void so sorry I can't help.
My house (and the whole estate) has that type of brick included, it can range from quite light in colour to black, it’s not discolouration and looks normal when they’re mixed up (I’d estimate about 10% black or lighter and the rest your normal medium brick colour).I've never seen brick like that in my life. Shitty patch job. I'm sure you could find better bricks in the clay pits behind Briscoe lane.
Ah, the clay pits. I'd forgotten all about them!I've never seen brick like that in my life. Shitty patch job. I'm sure you could find better bricks in the clay pits behind Briscoe lane.
It's no Accrington..My house (and the whole estate) has that type of brick included, it can range from quite light in colour to black, it’s not discolouration and looks normal when they’re mixed up (I’d estimate about 10% black or lighter and the rest your normal medium brick colour).
It does look a bad match to the original brick in the OP’s photo though.
We had some great fires ; )Ah, the clay pits. I'd forgotten all about them!
Thought i was on to a winner when arkid accepted £50k for his shareFair play @Bri1975 is having a mare with this inherited house
Got neighbours we despise atm and need to get away , wasn't sure initially about moving in but its only costing £50k as me and arkid inherited it off my dad, renting at the min so all will come goodJust sell it to a builder mate it sounds like it needs a lot of work and it is dragging you down a bit, just a polite observation you know, not my business like. Lot of threads seem to indicate this is all doing your head in
I didn't mean that I haven't seen bricks that colour. I mean bricks that have deteriorated like that. They look like they're full of ash.My house (and the whole estate) has that type of brick included, it can range from quite light in colour to black, it’s not discolouration and looks normal when they’re mixed up (I’d estimate about 10% black or lighter and the rest your normal medium brick colour).
