I'm not keen on letting him go. He's a good player, not great, never set the world on fire. But what left back ever has? Are we sure Kolarov will bed in well and reach top form immediately? No.

On the home-grown players quota, we have nothing to worry about. It's the 25 players over 21 that we need to keep an eye on. We have 30 players over 21 of which 15 are home-grown.

Can anyone please tell me one telling contribution he has made since he joined us? I'm talking a goal, an assist (I know that he's a defender but plenty of full backs get assists), a last ditch tackle, in fact any great memorable tackle, a goal line clearance? His pass completion rate must be shite, I just cant see why some rate him, for me he is average, and thats being kind.

I just cant remember a time when I drove away from COMS thinking "Bridge had a great game today". Remember someone starting a thread saying " a traffic cone could have played LB today" on here not too long ago, I've been thinking that for some time.

Will be welcoming Kolarov (if he signs) with open arms.

Sorry Wayne, sure you're a nice guy and all that and thanks for your efforts but if we're serious about doing anything this season then I dont want to see Bridge playing.

There is an article from ESPN on news now which says Bridge has been told he's staying but i had to lol as later in the article it says if a big offer comes in then that situation can change.

They've told him he's staying. They just haven't got round to telling him only as back-up ;o).

Personally I would much prefer Boateng at left back. Ever since his domestic problems came to light, Bridge has been playing well below par. If we get 8-9 million for him, we should sell. He will be 30yo next month too.
