Bridge to the Dippers?

I'd be happy with this. Kolarov seems a done deal. And i'd like us to keep Garrido to help David Silva settle in (the article on the OS revealed they are very close friends). Therefore, Bridge needs to move on. If need be, Boateng has shown he can cover at left back. As can Lescott. Barry could too. And then there's Cunningham, who i'm sure wouldn't let anybody down.

They'll be pissing themselves if they can get bridge in for £6 million after selling insua for 5. It would be a joke

Bridge is shit and his best days look to be well behind him. Insua is shit but at least he is young and there is still considerable scope for improvement. I don't even think we could get 6 for Bridge.

If we can get him off the wage bill and out of the team for 6mil then i'll drive him to who ever wants his. He is shit. Mourinho sussed him straight away and it looks like Mancini has as well.
Bridge offers nothing. He never/very rareley stops a cross and contributes absolulley nothing going forward. Another one of Hughes' 'safe bet' transfers being found out. File under Santa Cruz and Barry

Would Bridge count as a home grown player or do they have to have come through our academy?

Have to have trained in England for 3 years before the age of 21. So yes, Bridge counts as home grown.

Could be useful to keep him for that reason. That siad, I reckon we shouldn't really have a problem with the homegrown rule if some of our youngsters keep on improving like Cunnigham etc

To me Bridge has never completely done it with us. Too many mistakes, exposed positionally and for pace. Offers little as an attacking force. We need better. Some are suggesting as much as £8m. For that and getting rid off his salary I'll drop the guy off outside his new clubs front door.

Pity but that's life and City have no time to waste :o).
