Bridge

I'm sure if we dangled him at QPR enough they'd take him off our hands. Its just a shame Warnock did fancy taking Crocky of us for good.

He seriously needs to move, any hope of England 2012 squad is surely all but gone for him now, and could only be rescued by playing regularly in the Premier League.

Newcastle were interested I heard, but the have Davide Santon now who can play either side in defence. Surely QPR or Swansea would be up for a loan deal? No?

Crispy Chicken Bridge the gap
- Blackburn's fowl attempt at signing the City left back has the supporters flocking down to the Etihad Arena.

A sauce close to the Blackburn owners stated "he's great on the wing and his bird has nice thighs, legs and breasts" we couldn't wait to wrap this one up!

Gutted or do you think this is eggcelent news?

Considering he retired from International football after the terry afair even if he played week in week out for Chelski he would not be in the squad ;o)

Thrown his career away. Why on earth he's not jumped at the chance to go to Celtic is beyond me.
What a waster. He's not worth worrying about, just let him drift away - its what he appears to want.

He'd spent 3 years on the bench at Chelsea before he signed for us. Amazing he's played so little. In his early years as a pro he played 150 times for Southampton. Since then he's played 156 games in 8 years and I bet half of those are as sub.

Money for life but for all his early promise he must wish he'd just played football more.

It's slightly surprising that absolutely nobody has shown any serious interest. However, since he signed for us he has been awful. I was quite please when we signed him but I fully admit to being completely wrong, he was a total let down, and his stint at West Ham last season demonstrated that he isn't really Prem material anymore.

On that basis, if he is Championship level, then we have to accept that given what he is earning he will be training with our kids for the emainder of his contract rather than take a c80% wage cut to what his market level woiuld dictate based on his present ability.

It's our own fault for giving these players the ridiculous contracts they're on. I think the board shoulder a huge part of the blame in this.

Did we really need to give Bellamy, RSC, Bridge and others such huge salaries? I know Hughues targeted the signings but surely it was others who agreed the contracts.

Not easy to take up options when you fall down the pecking order when you are on a good wicket.

Clearly West Ham did not want to have him or could afford him for another season on loan and or he didn't want to play in a lower division this season.

I am happy for him to stay around the club if that what he wants just in case the younger ones want some assistance and on the chance we need him at some stage to fill in but clearly I hope it doesn't come to that too often.

He'll happily sit out his contract while shopping with his girlfriend. No professional pride at all, he'll retire as soon as he's leeched his last penny out of football.

To be fair, I wouldn't mind shopping with his girlfriend, and shopping does my head in.
