The officiating tonight was beyond a joke. How did the Brighton player that took Gundogan only get a yellow and that was a penalty for the challenge on Jesus. Just pray that Ilkay is OK for the CL.

Surprised by Brighton. We were obviously going through the motions and using that as a training game ahead of the CL, but they were putting in some serious challenges even before the sending off. Football people know when the opponent is stepping over the mark, and that was the case tonight. That might bite them next season.

No offence mate, but I absolutely hate it when our fans give other sets of fans shit for celebrating beating us. They’ve just beaten the team that’s just won the title, if they didn’t celebrate like that, especially after not attending for 15 months and it being their last home game of the season, there’s something bleedin wrong with them!

When we beat Chelsea in 2004-05 I went on the piss for two days.

Don't understand why many are complaining against Brighton, or want them relegated. They play good football. It's the job of the refs to handle strong tackles and penalize them.

Well done Brighton, but without stating the obvious (sending off, Gundogan injury), I thought Rodri was very lazy, few poor refereeing decisions. Had it been more to play for, then the team would of put a bit more effort in. And why is Garcia still playing?, he’s decided to leave, if we wasn’t gonna take Walker, give an academy player a spot on the bench.

All in all good practice to stress our defense, let's be honest it would have been a much easier game for us without the red card.
