It didn't look bad,it looked like a knock and he came off as a precaution.Lets wait the update before thinking the worst.

Looked like an above the knee “impact” injury that was not responding to “hiving it a run out” and he wanted out.

24 hrs from now, we will know if it’s a thing or not. Ice & rest, plus some massage, and unless it is structural he’s going to be right as rain in a few days. The rest will do him good!

VAR is worse

Atwell was influenced by a crowd, the first time he’s reffed in front of a crowd in a year

VAR has no excuse. It’s a cold decision made with time to think. How it could get so many key decisions so clearly wrong is very very suspicious

Because VAR is the refs mate!
They will look to agree with the ref at all costs however stupid they look
Then hide behind the line clear and obvious error
Until it becomes an independent body from the on pitch ref you will get this shit every week
Then expect the stupid statement that follows explaining how they are correct
As for peter Walton he is just a yes man, says one thing then when opposite decision is made quotes the law and tells you they are right

VAR will only overrule refrees decision if the decision is miles off. The rules are more or less like crickets rule. They normally agrees with onfield refrees decisions.

Yeah can't deny that. I do believe being 2-0 up we should have managed a lot better. Did not help that after their first goal they kept attacking from the left side and there was absolutely no one to clear danger or hold up play. It's like Gündogan went off and everything fell apart.

We weren't just playing a hyped up brighton in front of 8k or so fans, we were also playing against the ref and var last night

No problem about the loss, i can take it on the chin and move on.
Cancelo i hold no blame as ot wasnt a red card.

Our players were getting totally frustrated as the game went on because of the inept performance of the ref and var, and rightly so

As for garcia smiling like a cheshire cat after lampooning the ball skywards, the sooner he fucks off to Barca the better

The red card was bullshit, but this was an opportunity to practice attack vs defence in a game that didn't matter, and ultimately, we conceded 3 goals in 26 minutes against the 17th place (at the time) team. At 1-0 up, we could forgive the team for not holding onto a lead, but once we get to 2-0, we really should be able to see out the game. I wonder if the bigger issue wasn't the referee, but the fact that the players didn't want to risk themselves before the CL final.

Agree that that last sentence had a bearing, but it doesn't excuse that pathetic/bent/inept display from the officials.

Also they claim to get 90% plus of the decisions correct. But what makes me laugh does the Zuma pen on sterling class as the correct decision because they looked at it even though everyone else said it was.
They hide behind var and say they will look at all big decisions. But your chances of getting the decision comes down to the on field decision which some teams in red get while others teams get it the other way round

Normally with a neutral point of view VAR has made more good decisions than bad decisions. Well we all are humans. and yeah there are theories that some reds gets favour but some blues do not. That may be true but normally when i watch a game that is not concerned about city the decisions they made are more or less correct. The decisions are better when VAR calls the onfield refree to review the incident himself.

90% is a shite performance considering all the angles, slo mo and time they they have to look at incidents . I'd be looking for 98% +.
I thought this would be a tough game as i thought the Newcastle one would be and that was if we needed to win them to be crowned champions, as it is the last 3 games are dead rubbers but should be taken as opportunities to hone the strongest team, rest one or two perhaps before our biggest one off game the club has had. Really need it to gell against Everton

Just send the highlights, they dont show much. Two things.

The sending off, welbeck hooks his arm over Cancelo arm/shoulder and pulls him down. City foul.

Brighton winner looked off side but in the highlights didnt show the goal from the side.

I have send the innocent of Foden getting fouled but ref gives nothing within a second Fernandinho does a slight foul. Not as bad as the one on Foden just before. Ref gave Brighton a foul and booked Fernandinho.

From reading on here as I didnt see the match, and what's been posted on here from some parts of the press/media, this match needs investigating.

Something was very wrong with this match. Both VAR and the ref seem bent. Plus when you add in utds goal which was about 5 yards off side, I would say VAR and the refs need investing.

I hate to say it but the more this happens the more I think big betting syndicates are involved.

City are going go need to score at least 3 or 4 every game next season to win 1 nil !.

Funny how one bent game can really piss you of even after the great season City have had. One game I love football , next game I hate it.

I always thought Brighton were a decent club and team. I didnt think Brighton where team of kickers. I thought Brighton played football the correct way.

The question has to be why did Brighton change the style last night ? Were Brighton told to ? Something doesnt add up here.

Brighton did us proud that day we won the league at their place. What happened last night Brighton ? That was so unlike you. Where you ordered to play like that ? Out of the 37 games you have played this season I never had Brighton down as a dirty team. The change in the style was odd. Didnt I read on here that even Brighton manager behaved odd after the first goal, and he later apologised on tweeter.
