I used bad grammar and didn't word it right. I meant in his first two seasons he didn't play much. Needed time to get going. Became world-class in time. That's what I think is happening with Nunes as well.

Stonesy must be struggling with fitness, and Ruben has been hot and cold this season, so I reckon it's a rock-solid back 4 tonight as it is. Stonesy and Ruben will still play a citical role for us this season, surely. We need them at their 100%.

Im not saying he is great or anything but he can cause problems with his runs and the odd great goal.

Just 14 apps in the PL in his second season. His level was much better, but from what I remember, he struggled with injuries. The point is, some players need time for various reasons, to get used to the system, to get used to playing every 2 or 3 days (extra CL games, etc., something they don't have at smaller clubs).

Kovacic in there suggest to me that that is going to free KDB up to play really high up the pitch and not have too much defensive responsibility - both which are good things....it will also get Foden closer to goal which again is a good thing
