Brighton (H) Post Match Thread

Sane has it all.
A year younger than Raheem with more potential.

However. Sterling has matured more than anyone in the league IMO.
He seems to take on board from Pep, year on year, exactly what he needs to and not just is scoring, he just makes the right decision more often than not.

Now add that to Sane’s potential.
Think where he can go.

Sterling has dedication, determination and intelligence (plus he's apparently a humble guy) so he keeps applying himself to improve.

Don’t see that. He misplaced at least three passes that weren’t that difficult. Don’t get me wrong I like the lad and he had an ok game but Raheem was Motm as our most dangerous player by a country mile. I have a lot of respect for Zinchenko, we try and sell him, we try and loan him, he hangs on in there and ends up starting in the first 11. Great attitude and trust in himself.

Only recall one of those misplaced passes by Zin but he must have failed to complete another two short passes as 3 of the 6 passes out of 128 made were long balls.

Sterling though was the only outfield player in the starting 11 to have better pass completion.

Easy win and another great display from Raheem.
Laporte loves that long ball to the right wing.
We seem to get one every home game, every first half.A joy to behold.

Stunning football yesterday. 93% accuracy on over 800 passes is a statt hat tells the story of the game.
Sterling magnificent in both half's of the pitch.
Another stat a red mate just sent me; In 60 SECONDS we had more shots on target than united did in 90 MINUTES.

There was a Fern handball from a corner late on, it could have been given.
Something similar happened in their box soon after and wasn’t given either.

Why would it be given ? It was ball to hand. Fern never moved his arm/hand to get in the way of the ball. Just an accident.
Handball has to be deliberate, hence others not given for us.

It could have been given because it hit his hand and we’re Man City.
Should I have to explain.

Neither were given. So no complaints.

I don't think our players will "bottle" it anymore at Anfield.

For some reason this club has had a distinctly negative psychological mentality when playing at Anfield for some time now, but I firmly believe after everything that happened last time in the Chumps League, that we've finally reached our "nadir"/crescendo of fear of playing there, our player's mentality should be much more relaxed from now on and the result will flow naturally from that.
For me a draw will be a good result.
I hope so....
