i sorta don't get all this love for dinho at centreback. he can play there yes but I think you will only see him playing there as a needs must kind of thing for injuries. as he is getting on i think his role will be to play more cup ties and less league games, to help keep rodri fresh, and of course injury coverage, but not playing CB just for the sake of getting him in.

I agree. I think the way he breaks up play ,if he does it deeper at CB can see him giving silly fouls away I dangerous positions look at the penalties he's conceded over the years, not many granted but all have been unnecessary

Interesting to see what VAR decisions/controversies come out today with City United and Liverpool all playing.

Despite their public utterances, the Powers That Be know full well that the penalty that got away on Silva was a bad error and have been looking at things again. Even some refs have been moaning over the flak they get.

But do not expect PIGMOL to admit their errors or even change things, no matter how wrong or how obvious. The screen on the half way line might as well be turned around to face the press box so they can watch Tom and Jerry.

Would be surprised to see Cancelo start , Pep stated he hasnt had a full pre-season so possibly still behind the rest of the squad , Walker has done nothing wrong this season apart from a couple of robust challenges , he needs to remember players now roll about like they have been shot by a sniper with the slightest contact , and the screaming some of them do is quite embarrassing.
Ideal game to give Foden start , if Pep is serious about giving him minutes then this has to be one of those games , we could rest eleven players and beat Brighton , not arrogance just a simple fact our squad is ridiculously strong in every position . Just need our five fingered friends to give the Dippers a good kicking later on to complete a nice day.

You say that but the last thing he would want is for Walker to lose confidence and 2 disappointments in a week could well do that.

I wouldn't. We are so good these days that a 1-0 win against any team in the PL except Liverpool and perhaps Spurs would be a disappointment.

Brighton sold out their allocation weeks ago .

Brighton have sold 2 blocks. The largest block of tickets in 313, South Stand, was not sold by Brighton. It has since been re-allocated to City fans and is almost sold out except for a handful of single seats which will probably go by kick off.
It`s a long distance to travel from Brighton and with the associated costs it is not surprising that the numbers able to attend are less than the full allocation.
