Angelino is a dwarf compared to most Prem. Players if I recall correctly from pre-season. Can't see him being a success, but wish him well.
Hear, hear — very similar to that David Silver geezer Valencia flogged us and look how that turned out, absolute rubbish and ultimately binned with nary an appearance to his name.

Why we didn’t go in for Andy Carroll in the summer is beyond comprehension as I am confident Pep could have turned him in to a world class fullback.

Could always bring Crouchie out of retirement, as well?

Lol ! Maybe it's my age, but I was thinking physicality was more of an essential requirement for left back than for Merlins position. However, as always, in Pep I trust

I can't understand the clamour for new players to play before they are ready,it weakens the team if they are not up to speed, people were the same about bernie and that turned out alright

It is even more miraculous we won the treble/quadruple last season with a dwarf like Zinchenko at leftback!

Listening to Guardiola yesterday, you begin to appreciate how important it is for players to respond intuitively to what happens on the pitch at all times. That can take years for players to master so better to bleed new players, particularly defenders, slowly and surely.

Yep i remember when pep arrived he said some players get it straight away, some take months and some never, they have to be 100% confident in the style and as you say switched on at all times,it's a lot to learn
