Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Think and say what you want, but it is sad to see City fans being impatient with Pep and thinking about a change 2 weeks after we were top of the league with multiple injuries and 3 days after we lost our first CL game in 30 months, breaking an all-time record in Europe in the process. Fickle.
I like this Not good at the mo Come back in may

Haaland is the problem love the lad blah blah blah but let’s get real Alvarez and Cole …. 5 in a row

Spot on.

I’ve never seen a football team have as few injuries as we had in that treble season. Cancelo injured Foden in training and then got fucked off, then Foden got appendicitis and that was about it all season.

The lack of injuries won us all three trophies because we had 11 of our best 15 on the pitch almost every week.

We have been extremely naïve since then. Did we think that would last forever in some kind of delusional fantasy? Injuries are part and parcel of the game and we were never going to see another season like the treble season for lack of injuries. Yet we’ve been poor in the transfer market and our squad has drifted in quality since and it’s been highlighted when we have had injuries.

The good thing is, I’m not impressed with any team I’ve seen in England or Europe this season and a few first teamers coming back and we may get ourselves up there, but I think it’s just a bit too much for us this season to win either of the big two.

This is probably the worst run of injuries I can remember in a long while. We have decent young players in Doku, Savinho, Bobb, Rico but they should be eased in gradually alongside experienced top players. Now, because of our injuries, we are having to play what would probably be a team we'd play in a league cup game against inferior opposition every week. As a result we're suffering. Also sadly Gundos legs and form has fallen off a cliff and the same with Foden, form wise. If those two were on it I think we'd have gotten something today and maybe at Bournemouth.
We will struggle until we can get our top experienced players back out on the pitch and get the kids back on the bench.

In all seriousness Chelsea are a dark horse here..

Said from the begging the dippers are our rival for the league not arsenal..

But Chelsea are going to be there or there abouts at the end..
28 games left to play.
They seem to have pretty much settled on their best team now and have good depth, saying that they should for the money spent.

I think they'll get top 4.

One can critique Pep without it meaning Pep out. There is such a thing...

Be a bit more realistic ffs. Our position flattered us. We have been struggling to get to our normal levels of performance since last April.

That's only normal after winning 6 from the last 7 titles and breaking all-time records in England and Europe. You need to be more realistic. Our players are not robots. We were playing without Rodri and KDB, any team in the world would miss such players, especially when other players are injured as well. Be a bit more realistic.

Yea..
Can see Chelsea losing the odd one but they are slowly getting better and feeling the system the manager wants to play.
They also have a huge squad to pick from.
