I'm just glad of a 2 week break and hopefully we can recover some of our injured players during this spell, and Pep can recharge, he looks knackered.
Yeah almost zero closing down.2 glaring things today for me.
1. Nowhere near fit enough as a team.
2. Complete lack of that old trademark hunger and aggression to win the ball back. Where has the “6 second rule” gone?. Their first goal was this in a nutshell. Nunes and Gvardiol just stood there with their thumbs up their arses when it just needed hoofing away. Pathetic. Just lay down and died that last 25 mins.
The only bright spot for me was the kid Simpson-Pusey who I thought had a belting game in a tough context.
We really do need this international break. I hope there’s a big sit down as a group and they pull themselves together and fucking quickly.
Haaland is the least of our problemsHe doesn't suit this pep team because the tactics we have adopted are antithetical to his skill set. And yet he's so fucking good he still scores goals. We should build the team around getting him as many touches as possible
If we had held on to win tonight Pep would have been hailed a genius. People can be fickle. That genius is still there in Pep. Let's see what's available after the Int Break. We're here during this point every season.
People on here lose their heads and declare our season over.
Then we kick on after Christmas and win the league.
Those people are then quiet until the following year.
I was probably under valuing his minute's, about 6 on Tuesday plus 5 added on and today 16 plus 9 added on but it's still only 36 minutes! ;-)Yeah, I had that same reaction, but I wasn't able to come up with the figure to back it up. KDB has no business whatever being on that list.
But there is still a chance he might be...Haaland is the least of our problems
Not with this squad mate, surely you can see how weak it is compared to past seasons? We're here during this point every season.

Yes pep will never lose his genius..If we had held on to win tonight Pep would have been hailed a genius. People can be fickle. That genius is still there in Pep. Let's see what's available after the Int Break.
