Great games from Rodri ,Mahrez and Sergio , were still playing in 2nd gear and if not for var would have a 100% record ….come on burnley

Two fantastic strikes by Sergio and a first for the season by KDB
El Mago ran the show again and Rodri was imperious again as well.
Sterling very quiet for him
Ottomendi cannt go a game without making some appalling mistake.....he is getting away with it at present but he wont forever...its so frsutrating cause you cannot question his commitment and general defensive work but he is definitely a weak link.
The injury for Laporte (If as bad as it looked - looked like Knee ligament damage to me) is a sickener as we against the best in Europe and Prem if he is missing it will be a huge blow. ......hopefully it aint too bad (gutted for him as well with his recent call up to the national side)
Overall not out of second gear again and we were slppy at times - just imagine if ew hit top gear in a game like that - someone is in for an absolute pasting.

Zinchenko smartly timed pass, Silva never needs it but had all the time in the world and put it on a plate for De Bruyne. Sweet interplay Mahrez and KDB, Agüero created his own space and smashed it home. Zinchenko to David, laid off nicely and Sergio brilliantly found the top corner. Mahrez to my motm Agüero, played through for Bernardo to score 17 seconds after coming on. Great to see Fernandinho still hope Laporte and Stones are back soon enough. Rodri more and more looking like he was born for this part. Like a professional hit job by the end, very nice team display.

We haven’t looked anywhere near our levels from last season YET. Which can only bold well for the rest of the season.Strange thing to say after a 4-0 win, but I thought that was a rather insipid performance. Long periods of nothingness were then punctuated with moments of quality. It’s getting to the stage now that the period from the Charity Shield to the end of the international break has become some kind of phoney war. Glad it’s almost over again and we can get back to regular matches and some tempo.

How bad Is was he Laporte injury ? Hoping it looks worse than it is . Not bad for a team playing average at the moment ha ha .
no idea but it looked bad.....looked like knee ligaments and that is never good.
These early season injuries are downright depressing. I had to do something else and put the match in the background for the second half.Hope Laporte injury is not that bad .
