Brighton seem even more special than Leicester 2015/2016

The club must have a brilliant scouting network in South America, as some of the young players they have from that continent are fantastic.

Remember Southampton in 15/16 , where are they now ?

Same will happen to Brighton, being lorded to the heavens for doing well on a shoe string only for the top 6 to pick them clean over the next few seasons
Thought exactly the same. If your best players are constantly being picked off by so-called bigger clubs then sooner or later you will come unstuck as it relies on the recruitment process being spot-on - something which cannot be guaranteed.

Leicester can thank doctors, PiGMOB and far east gangsters for their season in the sun.

Not in any comparable to Brighton even if their owner is a dodgy bookie ;-)

I've never seen a small team manage to assemble such talent, all the whilst playing scintillating football, the second best in England.
Too young to have seen Clough era Forest then? Even the later era Pearce/Walker/Webb/Clough side played some lovely stuff although Gary Crosby remains a cheating gimp.

Blackburn Premier League winners 1994/95
Blackburn Relegated 1998/99

Leicester City Premier League winners 2015/16
Leicester City Relegated 2022/23?

That's what I mean by that.

We got back in the Premier League in 2002/2003 and stayed there ever since. We had a rough few seasons (Some good and bad) and I honestly thought at times we would get relegated especially that season we only scored 10 goals at home all season (2006/2007). Then we got took over. Got better players and started to finish in the top 4 then won the league and the rest is history.

De Zerbi hasn't had the whole season. Only one transfer window. Give the man a little more time.

His main problem now is the expectation that overachievement brings.

They’ll almost certainly lose one or two of their best players. If they were to finish say eighth next year, it would be another amazing season. But it would still bring a feeling of going backwards amongst some.

The sad thing they will probably be raided by the 'bigger' teams, ripping the team apart, causing them to rebuild again and again, they won't get the chance to do a Leicester . They seem to bring through players who are just as good however and I can't think of any of the players who have been snapped up having much of an impact. Going off topic, what happened Lamptey he looked excellent though injury prone, don't recall seeing him play
