Sorry but the guy on Saturday sounded as though he was auditioning for Radio 1. Might be an age thing but for me the best is the Red Dippers man. Just announces with the right amount of gravitas.

I've noticed the tannoy announcer voice is occasionally distorted, with at least one name read out in 'Frank Sidebottom' style.... or is it Frank? spooky.

I thought the announcer on Saturday was the most cringeworthy thing I've heard at City since Stuart Pearce piped in chants through the tannoy. He sounded so over excited it bordered on camp. The guy on Tuesday was much better.
