Bring the Noise

That was the worst of, what is now, a number of really poor atmospheres at Wembley from us.

We didn’t sing more than half a dozen times as a collective yesterday. Most just stood there in total silence all game, didn’t even applaud good play or shout “come on”.

I’m buzzing that we won but genuinely a bit gutted with the atmosphere.

Likewise. I was expecting a defiant wall of noise from us.

Non stop singing where I was..........block 117

Loved the whole day....one of my best trips. Apart from the wrong end....yeah fuck the east end.

Fuck the M6 too

Cue music

Was in 510 and we made a good bit of noise all game. One guy in particular didn’t stop at all. Great effort.

Wembley is a strange ground acoustics wise. Songs are heard ten seconds after they are sung.

Thought it was quite good where I was - with Quite a bit of singing in level 5, but there was a lot of people who seem miserable as anything. Didn’t react to any attacks. barely celebrated the goals and didn’t sing. They were like robots. Noise wise we have been crap all season pretty much

villa fans were very loud at times, but compared to others fans at Wembley I didn’t think they were that good

Was sat in Club Wembley at our end, what you always notice at Wembley with the gap between the bottom and top tiers is it’s hard to get a unified song going as different pockets of people sing their own thing and it can take a few seconds for other blocks to catch on by which time it’s all out of sync. Villa only seemed to have about 2 songs which did help them get an atmosphere going.

As always the songs to sing at Wembley are:

Blue Moon
TBTITLAATW
We love you City
When the Blues go marching in
We are City from Maine Road
We’re Not Really Here
Ci-ty Ci-ty Ci-ty

Don’t need owt else at Wembley. Just sing those over and over. They’re the ones everyone knows and joins in with.

Yet we have chunks of fans singing trying to get ‘Empty Seats At Home’ or ‘Edin Džeko’ going over and over when 90% of fans don’t join in with those.

You’ve got to know your audience:
Wembley and big games at the Etihad = the core songs
Lesser games at the Etihad = core songs plus a few other different types
Away games = core songs plus all the new and lesser known chants.

Lots of "City's going down with a billion in the bank" all day yesterday. In 109 on the terraces, and also on the Tube both going to and from Wembley.
I got off the Met Line at Euston Square and about 25 Blues singing" City's going down with a billion in the bank"- complete with required actions as we walked slowly up the exit stairs.
The bemused looks we got from our fellow non -football Tube users was something else, they all thing football fans are nutters and head the balls.
