Bring the Noise

Atmosphere was more than decent on our end.

Their fans were diabolical and im not just laying into them for the sake of it, i will admit they do generally bring a loud following as you'd expect for a derby but their section today near me at least was full of day trippers and completely devoid of any passion Which did probably dampen our own response to them.

1st half.

Apart from after the goal, the atmosphere has been.pretty poor, and that's being kind.
@jrb - I've got a lot of time for your contribution to this forum, but you don't half love a moan about fellow Blues. I know you love your Ultra's and the Euro vibe but give it a rest eh. Half time and you're on here giving an update about how shit we are.

Today was the first home derby I've missed in decades and I thought the atmosphere sounded decent on TV. Very decent.

The atmosphere was spot on. Anyone saying otherwise is talking bollox.

I've never been to a derby at ours where they were loud. Spectators most of them - literally.

I'm right on yhe barrier with away fans in what is noe 014, Im not here to big up the rags away end but they usually show up as you'd expect for any derby and then we silence them. Completely different feeling to their following today. Day trippers central.

Anyone who thinks that was spot on can't have experienced a derby pre take over.
Or maybe you’re a killjoy.
It’s not the first time I’ve seen you post negative nonsense.
Some of us seniors have been there, done it and bought the t-shirt.
Maine Road could be amazing.
But could also be a morgue.
Today was a good day, on what was a sombre afternoon.
A fitting tribute to Ricky.
If demeaning the atmosphere gives you a sense of achievement, crack on.
For those of us there, playing a part and now unable to speak through a sore throat, your comments wash over us.
Great win blue boys.

It's a thread for people to discuss their views on atmosphere on a football forum, views on it will be shared if you view them as nonsense then don't read them, and I was there and have been for every derby in this stadium so have a perfect level of experience to comment on today.

Use has a Germanic approach to enjoyment, only happy when he's leading an invasion into moaning !!

Dodge.

I said the 2nd half made up for the 1st half.

I said the atmosphere after the first goal in the first half was good.

The atmosphere at the start of the match was good, as it should be.

In-between the start of the first half and after the goal, the atmosphere wasn’t great. I stick by that. Ceratinaly not compared to other derbies when City have taken the lead.

I said the Poznan was great as it went around the whole stadium.

I said United’s support was sh*t like it always is at the Etihad.

The Ricky Hatton chants were great.

I’ve praised our home support on countless occasions.

It’s not moaning.

It’s an opinion.

If it was moaning, I wouldn’t have posted anything positive at all about our support today.

We can all agree beating the Rags 3-0 is a positive, and there is nothing to moan about regarding that. :-)
