You tell me, I’m not sure what it has to do with the Iraq’s links to terrorism under Saddam?

We’re currently helping Saudi Arabia and I’ve very fucking against it, they have links to terrorism and are committing atrocities with our weapons.

No no no... you said to “look no further than Bush or Blair” when it came to Islamic extremism.

That statement is ridiculous as Islamic extremism has been there since the inception of the religion.

The leftovers from Iraq resulted in a massive drive in the region, sure, you’ll never hear me say that leaving Iraq in the way we did was a good idea but it isn’t the cause and certainly isn’t the majority reason why we see attacks.

You only have to listen to the extremists themselves, they hate western culture anyway.

What are you on about regarding promoting the Arab Spring. It started in Tunisia without any input from the west at all. Do you think if the West has not got involved in subsequent conflicts there would have been less deaths? The west only got involved in Syria at a fairly late stage after hundreds of thousands had already been killed and if the west hadn’t supported the overthrow of Gaddaffi, there’s little doubt he would have killed thousands of his own people. There’s no doubt Libya was a monumental fuck up but it wasn’t started by the west. In fact, the west had started to do business with Gaddaffi after it had been a pariah state since Lockerbie.

The whole Arab Spring was because they wanted the change themselves.

They literally rose up to oppose their regimes.

How the fuck is that not wanting it?

Blair’s record prior to Iraq was exceptional, NI, Balkans, Sierra Leone etc.

He knows more about this stuff, including mistakes he’s learned from, than anyone.
