What's all this about?

I don't think there's been anything to suggest he's asked the club to leave like OP put, but Sam Lee was saying that Japan now seems like the most likely destination for him, but he thought it would happen at the end of next season.

The last two guys we signed from the Portuguese league didn't work out so well.

I honestly trust the club so if they think he’s good enough then I’m up for it. Someone send the scout video though :D

Buzzing if we get him, but you do have to wonder where this leaves Foden next season. No doubt in the long term picture, but another 25 year old signing in CM is blocking his path, regardless of what people say.

I think Gundogan has to be the one to make way, otherwise Foden is looking at a 28, 27, 25 and 24 year old ahead of him in the pecking order. Obviously there are variables such as Bernardo being viewed predominantly on the RW and KDB's injury issues, but I struggle to see how his game time picks up considerably next season like Pep said it would.

Selling Mahrez or Sane and Bernardo becoming a permanent fixture on the RW could make it work.

Pep was very vocal on the fact that Foden isn't going anywhere on loan, so there is clearly going to be a plan, just struggling to work it out at the moment!

Selling Gundogan, bringing Fernandes in, loaning Foden out for a season, giving Dave his final season and then bringing Foden back would make the most sense to me.
Front 6:
St: Aguero/Gabby
LW: Sterling/Sane
RW: Bernado/Mahrez
LM: Bruno/ Foden
RM: Kevin/ David
DM: Rodri/Dihno.

Foden will be fine and will get games.

dunno besides his free kick not seeing much that tells me he will instantly improve us. rather do the disco if we are we are looking for another cam.

Not sure it’s that easy to improve us from the level we are most improvement will be slight and be more in squad depth and being able to change things round rather than first 11 . Does he improve on peak KDB and Silva, no but he helps us maintain that level if Kev was injured or if David is on the wane.

There really seems to be legs in this one. Was skeptical at first, but ther more i think about it.....there more it makes sense.

Gundogan possibly leaving. David Silva has played in 47 games for us this season. I'd expect those numbers to be drastically reduced in his final season.

As well as KDB's injury problems. So this transfer would make sense.

Makes a lot of sense. It’s building for the future, old goes out, young talent come in. With Bernardo, Foden and Fernandes, we’re set for years. De Bruyne has still got loads left in him injury dependant.

I began to sit up when Bernardo piped up on Tuesday :-)

I am not sure how a deep-lying midfielder like Gundogan leaving would affect the signing of an attacking midfielder? Wouldn't this be more of a David Silva replacement?

Would rather Sterling or Bernardo play there then. Maybe but I still think he looks better because he’s in a strong team. Never heard of Seferovic but he has 1G&A per game. Jonas is 35 and has a goal every other game. Pizzi has 17 assists. Rafa Silva had 5 goals in the past 2 seasons and now has 13. It’s easy to look good when the entire team is performing, but City is a different beast.

Mahrez and Sane can be dropped for a few average games and they’ve been POTY/YPOTY. Don’t know why we should spend a record fee and change a winning formation on a kid with 1 good season.

Happy to be proven wrong but we could get a young striker for cheaper like Werner who consistently gets 20 goals a season.

Seferovic was a big talent. Top scorer of U17 World Cup with Switzerland who won it. He has 50 caps in Switzerland and played for them at two world cups and Euro. He's of Bosnian origins and there was a huge buzz abut him early in his career but he somewhere lost it before signing for Benfica.
