Bryan Wilson Middleton Blue RIP

Middleton lost a true blue yesterday, Bryan Wilson sadly passed away after several years fighting cancer.

We have lost a true character and a friend to many.

I have no doubt that many would have met Bryan over the years on many away trips and at home games.

I'm not from Middleton myself but I know a few who are, and sit in that block.

I remember him as always arriving after 2 minutes (with a betting.shop pencil behind his ear) and responding to all the jovial heckling from his Middleton mates.

Sad day - known him a long time , him and his pal Ayresy ? Came on our bus from Failsworth for a few years - lots of stories to tell , proper blue and real character . RIP Bryan .

I didnt know Bryan, but its always sad to lose a blue.

What I will say is it gladdens my heart that he got to see us win the fucking lot before his time was up. RIP blue.

I first met Bryan on the pre season tour to Italy in 1992. He was on our coach trip from Chadderton. He was great fun to be with, liked a pint and a good laugh. Not seen him that often as I also became ill just over 10yrs ago, but whenever we bumped into each other at games, we would always reminisce about that trip.
Here’s a picture of Bryan 33yrs ago at Verona’s stadium (2-2) in the purple shirt holding a fag, next to me (in Blue). RIP Bryan, a good lad indeed. X

Cardiff and Brentford in the FA Cup and Norwich are the ones that really stand out. I did a few more though around that time.
