BT Sport

I would classify seville, juve, psg and Madrid as top level teams, all if them would comfortably beat any typical top-4 EPL team, and would have a good shot at beating barca / bayern.

Our record is won 3, drawn 2, lost 3. Which is fine, and a great deal better than our track record against EPL top-8 this season.

What I would worry about though are the two juve matches. We had the advantage in both, as juve needed to score, and we failed to shut them out it punish them on the counter.

so 2 teams in our group, one of whom we knocked out, are top level teams, and we outlasted the other.

Therefore we also have to considered as top level by that logic.

BT Sport are finished when there deal with the CL expires 'thank god' UEFA want it back to free to air 'either the BBC OR ITV should bid enough, viewing figures with BT Sport have hit an all time low
I remember the nauseating commentary watching City beat Liverpool 2-1 the season when we won the league and when Negedo scored the winner. Owen was the summariser and he didn't in anyway disguise he allegiance for Liverpool. Dreadful coverage.

I thought we did really well to qualify from our group, leave alone finish top.
I would bet any other epl team would have finished rock bottom. Even gladbach were excellent and unlucky, could have qualified from most of the other groups.

I would say pellegrini did rather well in Europe. Scumbag sports completely pissed over our brilliant performance vs psg, compare that to Chelsea against the same team, despite them cheating to get ibra sent off.

My window cleaner informed me we beat a poor PSG.
I informed him my windows wouldn't need cleaning anymore.
Goodbye fuckwit!

It's not so much the coverage that's the problem,it's knowing they have pundits who are only to glad to get digs in or mock the club, would Utd or Liverpool for instance expect ex city players on their games as pundits, the fa cup omission, the champions league flyer only add fuel to the fire. Some people might think get over yourselves acting like spoilt children cause they say bad things about your club. But it's the perception it portrays to neutral fans of what they claim is correct,an example the emptyhad cliaming we have masses of empty seats at games which we no to be bollocks but the more they peddle it,it then sticks and is taken as gospel,it's all negative in regards publicity which actually does seem to have an effect regards how we are portrayed..
This, however the idiots at BT still cannot smell the coffee, as City are growing globally at an unprecented rate as is their fan base and their stupid bias (and Year 8- level lame excuses) just make them backward-looking and unprofessional and above all, petty,... as well as naive , in terms of strategic marketing.
We dropped BT a few years go because of their crap internet support... when I heard about them challenging Sly for footy coverage , I thought... yeah, nice one, maybe someone with the vision to see where the game is going and without all the baggage..... glad I didn't get the cheque book out now...
Cannot wait to see how the tw@ts look in five years' time

I hardly think that putting something in the schedule belatedly after being rumbled qualifies as an explanation.

Here is what they said to the MEN

BT Sport take its responsibility as a broadcaster extremely seriously and aims to deliver top quality live sports coverage to its viewers. We always try to take a fair view of the teams and the competitions which we broadcast.

“Last week BT Sport showed a number of classic FA Cup Finals back to back in the run up to the Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday evening. We apologise that Manchester City v Stoke City was not shown on Thursday, however it was shown on BT Sport on Saturday.”

Point one. If they think their coverage of City in the CL has been fair this season they have neither judgment nor insight. For a national broadcaster those are quite serious faults. Not ones you would associate with a broadcaster that 'takes their responsibility extremely seriously'.

Point two. They were clearly unwilling to cooperate with the BBC in relation to rescheduling the Chelsea FA Cup game. Make of that what you will.

Point three. Their explanation of the missing FA Cup final is disingenuous. It is misleading for their statement to refer to 'a number of classic' FA Cup finals because that suggests an editorial judgment about what constitutes a classic FA Cup final was made, and implies that we are simply having a hissy fit that the Stoke game wasn't considered a classic. In fact, as we all know, every single cup final from the 1980s onwards was aired with one single exception. The statement therefore tends to mislead, which is precisely what it was designed to do.

Point four. It appears that mass cancellations of BT membership from City fans has had at least some effect, because they are at last answering their criticism after having ignored it all season. If however this statement is BT's answer, intended to pour oil on those troubled waters, I would have thought this shabby, disingenuous response is singularly unlikely to achieve that effect. In fact it is more likely to have the opposite view.

Anyone from BT reading this might want to reflect on the hole they are in, and to see in practical terms what they can do - not say - to demonstrate that they have decided to stop digging.

Pure Digital Mediah management - they concentrate on the core market Rags. Dippers and Arse. The result is that fans of every other club feck off leaving them with a smaller meerkat that can't sustain the business. as every paper will go bust so will BT Sport. Staggers me that the bosses can't see the problem but they just stagger on regardless.
This , BA, is it, in a nutshell... I will laugh as they slither down the drain

Powerful submissions.

Fantastic points. I agree with every one.
