The CL means absolutely FA to me and BT have put the cherry on the cake!

It is a self serving bent competition that looks after its own.

It's sponsored by a beer yet you can't purchase one in the ground, how fuckin stupid us tha?

Ever since we did most of the away games for two seasons a couple of years ago I fuckin hate the competition. The away day occasion, the fans, the day were great. The event, the games.... every aspect was shit the way we were treated was absolute wank! whilst I'd love City to win everything this is bottom of my list beneath the Commity Shield!

BT taking it off free to air has done it for me, put the final nail in the coffin. I may well have taken a passing interest if it was on FTA but as its subscription only they can all go fuck themselves! The only reason I wanted us in it next year was to deprive that other team from Salford with a PEG as a manager!
 
Did nobody notice last night that they mentioned 'Pep Guardiola's Manchester City' about 5 times, as their main selling point for next year's Champions League games ?

I don't know if it's directly in response to our criticisms, or if it's just to shut us up by patronising us, or if it's because they genuinely believe Pep & City are their main hope of increasing viewing figures, but I suspect it's a bit of each. But well done everyone for showing them up.

As for their way of dealing with it: we don't want or need to be patronised or promoted ahead of the current champions or the other clubs who finished above us. We don't need pundits telling us we've done well if we play like shit. All we want, is a fair crack of the whip & to be treated the same way the other English teams have been treated when they have played in Europe over the years.

That doesn't include having the panel taking the piss out of us or hoping we lose.

Yes, it was very noticeable how often we got name checked.

In part it's because we play first in the qualifying round and I'm sure in part it's due to our criticisms and cancellations.

I think in part also though is a feeling that with Pep coming and Arsenal, Spurs and Leicester being our other representatives City represent England's best chance of a winner next season.

Maybe the first signs of them moving position to try to be seen backing the winning side?

Whatever we may want in terms of fairness to all English teams they don't seem to think in those terms.

They're in the selling game, the first CL game is us so they flog it, Manchester City clearly isn't a big selling point so they tag it 'Pep Guardiola's Manchester City' in the hope of drumming up interest.

I wouldn't read too much in to it.

Spoke to one of his former team-mates a couple of months back and he said if Mournho comes in and Giggs leaves OT he will see his arse at being over-looked and immediately look to move into management elsewhere. The Family Man had told him this.

Could still do the odd punditry gig but limits the chances of him being the next big BT 'signing'.
 
They was shockingly bias towards Real Madrid last night.

Everytime the commentators mentioned Atletico players in the penalty shootout it was "he missed in such in such" or "he wasn't selected in the last shootout" they was like willing Atletico Madrid to miss.

It was like that throughout the game. Shocking really.

Amazing how giddy people get at glamour big name footballers. Feck em.

In extra time it was ALL about "Bale is not 100% he is only walking he is stretching etc" and Ronaldo "is barely able to walk what a brave lion!".. do they think Atletico Madrid players was 100% fit at that stage? all players would be carrying injuries at the end of the season.. yet only mentioned for Real Madrid and the big-name players. Disgrace.

I get the impression that Bryan is shit scared of going elsewhere and demonstrating that he can't manage . Having seen Neville explode - and Rat Boy seems about the most knowledgeable of the Class of Cnuts .
