To be honest if the pundits were replaced by posters on the match thread it'd be a lot worse.
Have you read the match threads?Nah, it would be the only way MCFC would get a positive spin!
Have you read the match threads?
Positive isn't a word i would use.
Not only that but they all talk as if they not only won every trophy going but they never got their arses kicked let alone played badly or ever even made a mistake. Where 'experts' MIGHT have a part to play is explaining to us, the great unwashed, why things have happened or what made someone stay where they were instead of moving somewhere else. The Italian bloke they had at the World Cup was a good example of telling people why things may or may not have happened. And he spoke better English than most of ours!I was watching the Barca -Arsenal highlights last night and then i watched the Bayern highlights. They just moan like fuck about anything. It's not just us. Every commentator they get on there just fucking moans. McManaman was doing it last week when Madrid were playing - moaning at Marcelo and Salah for the full game. Last night he moved onto every single Arsenal player who missed a half decent chance. I can't even remember who was commentating on the Bayern game but he was moaning about Alaba, Benatia and Vidal nearly all game.
If they like a player, they love him, and if they think a player is shit, they hate him and spend the full broadcast moaning. It's just how they roll.
They just talk absolute nonsense most of the time and they re all reactionary pundits. They always comment on what they have immediately seen. Aside from that, they just spout generalised bullshit that isn't true. Hoddle spent the pre game talking about how bad we are defenisvely and how we should just fix that because the attacking side of it takes care of itself. Obviously forgetting the fact that we have had 6 0-0 draws this season, which would be impossible with such a terrible defence and such an amazing attack. It's just totally thoughtless punditry. Not only that but they all talk as if they not only won every trophy going but they never got their arses kicked let alone played badly or ever even made a mistake. Don't care who they've played for just tell us something we might not know and don't just give us the Bobby George school of punditry, which is telling everyone what they've just seen with their own eyes.
Don't tell me City were shit (I could see that for myself) tell me about the mindset of being 1-3 up from the 1st leg and how that plays a part in the thinking. Whether they do try to conserve energy for the next game and how that manifests itself.
Anything but Navas hit the first defender or Mangala passed to a Kiev player!
In which case I genuinely hope we're not in the Europa League next season as I'm usually quite busy on a Thursday night. We will never actually get insightful punditry until the punditry is being taken care of by a genuinely insightful fan of the featured team who watched them week in week out.
Think the word was insightful not frightful. :)In which case I genuinely hope we're not in the Europa League next season as I'm usually quite busy on a Thursday night.
