(Buckle up) Recession for more than a year

Yet the young move to the big smoke in their droves even though they can't afford it. The pensioners have had their children and are maybe 30 years into putting money away into a retirement pot after their kids have flown the nest.

Lots of poor people live in London and get help with their £1800 a month rent, someone has got to serve the coffees and polish the toffs on Tottenham Court Rd.

I come from a time when if you couldn't afford something then you don't buy it, I'm not talking necessities here but the little luxuries the modern lifestyle has lumbered us with.
Toffs on Tottenham Court Road?

Have you been there lately? Makes Piccadilly Gardens look like the Côte d’Azur.

Truss said we are talking ourselves into a recession and it can be avoided , doesnt she listen to all the experts then ? , she gives me the shits

Sunak would be far worse. He'd cut the state back massively and have you out in the fields in a chain gang picking fruit and vegetables.

I still come from a time if u cant afford it u save for it or dont have it.
When u get paid u budget your money,Most of the people i work with are skint after 2 weeks.
They have no concept of saving money or budgeting for what they need. However they think that the company should give them a pay rise to compensate for the cost of living crisis. They dont realise that we would have to put our costs up which means people will go elsewhere.Which will equal staff cuts.I agree a pay rise is needed but not on a gargantuan scale.

She has now joined a cult that thinks "people are fed up with experts" as claimed by the clown Gove just before the referendum. Does she really believe we can avoid recession by not talking about it or is she just spouting drivel knowing it won't damage her chances?

A lot of valid points but no amount of budgeting is going to cope with the predicted fuel rises for the vast majority of the country .
