Budget

It just gets better , no wonder Call me Dave has a majority .

An end to the benefit monkeys serial breeding at our expense.

Great budget for the hard-working, aspirational Tories. Not so good for the work-shy baby factories.

Capping Tax Credits at 2 children is long overdue. No cuts to child benefit which is another promise kept.
Cut to corporation and dividend tax makes me a very happy man today.

it doesnt seem a bad budget but lets see it once the fancy wrapping has been pulled off in the next few days.

biggest downer for me is nothing being done to restrict the plague that is zero hour contracts

Looks like a good deal to me. Unfortunate for the workshy.

Freezing welfare for 4 years is not unfortunate. It is fucking cruel.

Cutting Wrag ESA by £30 a week is not unfortunate, it means whatever you do for the rest of your working life dont you fucking dare get sick or have an accident. What sort of heartless **** punishes somebody for being ill?

The negative Eugenics budget.

I get your point mate but surely you realise we can't keep on paying for people to have children that they can't support?

This very morning i have dealt with a women. She is under 25, has FIVE children. Ages range from 8 to 1. Ive done a quick calc in my head and she's going to lose £200 a week in child tax credits - it'll be tough for her but we have to reverse this trend of people having so many children and expecting the state to pay.

Ive sat down with my fiancee and we've worked out that we can start trying for a baby in sept next year, when we have paid for the wedding and renovated our house. Thats what responsible people do, not knock out kids willy-nilly and expect someone else to pay for it.

The party is well and truly over for that sort and I am made up about it.

Chairman Mao introduced such measures. He was a Communist according to most.

You see children as a drain on society, i see them as a bonus to society. They will be paying for your pension. They will be the future tax payers. They will be our future.

What happens if a single parent with 2 children marries another single person with 2 children? They lose money by falling in love and getting married? What happens if for all your planning you have triplets?
What happens if you are a devout Catholic and dont believe in contraception
Why do free market fundamentalists believe is denying such a basic freedom as the right to have children? That surely is statist meddling of the most severe kind.

And if the effects of the negative eugenics budget lead to a negative UK birth rate will you fully support the huge amounts of immigration we will need to work in our economy.

The law of unintended consequences looms large over this rather stupid measure. It is populist, but downright fucking idiotic in the long run.

Are people who do this extremely poor or something?

How much a week do you think kids cost?

One of the traits I find irritating about people is when they are so locked into credit to support a lifestyle/Keeping Up With the Jones that they have almost no financial agility. If you're paying more than 30% of your income on housing then you're a moron.

The general rule is that 10% of your income should be put away or invested. This also gives you that agility so if something unexpected happens, say like you have a baby on the way, then you don't need to worry about it and can swallow the costs no problems.

The key to all of this, no matter if you're on £10,000 a year or £100,000 a year is to be able to effectively budget and control yourself instead of pining for things that you can't afford. That single lesson would immediately solve most people's financial issues overnight.
