I was once told that there are no bad employees just bad managers. The further up the management ladder I went the more I agreed with that statement.

What happens if things turn bad for you in Dubai? Run back to the UK for the welfare that you are entitled too or starve and die like you seem to accept is an option for the great unwashed?

One I'm in Qatar (Dubai is not regulated so any guy in my industry worth his salt wouldn't be seen dead there). And two, at 33, I'd retire to the Far East if I could no longer work out here.
