Fortuna Köln (relegated to the Regionalliga West) play at the Südstadion, very near to the city centre (2 miles). FC Viktoria Köln play across the Rhine in Cologne's east at Stadion Höhenberg (4 miles away). It's a 7 stops ride from Heumarkt/City Centre with the tube/tram 1 (about 12 minutes), the same that goes to the Müngersdorfer RheinEnergieStadium just in the opposite direction!, and then a 5 minutes walk. Both grounds are nothing fancy, both don't attract huge crowds (Fortuna give or take about 2500/Viktoria about 1200 (which will increase thanks to more away fans in the 3.-Liga now)).

Viktoria play FC Kaiserslautern on Nov/Dec weekend, they will bring 2000+ I reckon, should be a good game (Could well be that Viktoria have to play bigger matches at the Südstadion for security reasons)
We sold Uwe Rösler to Kaiserslautern. I could quite fancy watching that. Will they play on a different day to 1. FC?

I collect pin badges and that was principally the reason for going to the Mungersdorfer last year. I got a lovely badge and car sticker for my clapped out old Ford Focus.

I’ve a feeling both Berlin teams will be relegated this season. Union did very well to get up in the first place and Hertha can’t reply on Kalou and their 36 year old centre forward(name escapes me) for ever

Will be interesting to see how Hertha will cope with the fact that Union will be the media darlings now anyway, especially if Union gets some results early on. Cannot really see Hertha struggeling though, as they received a shower of money recently, which they could easily use to strenghen their squad. I wonder why Union on the other hand invested into more defensive players, last season they only conceded few goals but struggled to score plenty.

I cannot see them playing on the same day, the Hauptbahnhof full of Cologne FC plus Kaiserslautern fans would be somewhat tasty, no love lost between them. However Lautern fans will be advised or rather forced to get off their trains at Bahnhof Deutz which is on the other side of the Rhine anyway, still I don't think they'll play on the same day.

As we were discussing world cup attribution and corruption in some other threads, here is an update about the investigation on Germany corruption in their WC successful bid.
Beckenbauer has been deemed not fit for interrogation for health reasons.
