once Red Bull will be bored of Formula One for a good reason, they will really spend money into football

Sounds like they're about to buy Leeds United but they're finding out the implications of owning 3 teams who could potentially play in Europe. The suggestion in the English press is that they may sell either Leipzig or Salzburg to prioritise Leeds (they could get greater returns and exposure from a club in the Premier League). I thought the rule was they would only be able to enter one team..... that could be an interesting decision if it ever came to it.

I've expressed my views on RedBull in the past and I think its a good thing that they have invested their money into the game, but its the fact everyone knows the only intention is to market the brand. That shouldn't be allowed. If they try to rebrand to RedBull Leeds there will be riots.

Ruhr's right, after the DFB threatened them over their licence they changed their name and membership. They're officially called RassenballSport Leipzig.

Rasenball :-) (Rassenball would be Racial ball)

The club is officially owned by the club members (who are all working for Red Bull, but that is a different story). But they are going to turn the football team into a company and sell shares. I think, Porsche is interested in buying some and Red Bull themselves will do so. Still according to that 50+1 rule, decisions would still officially be made by the 14 (!) club members. But i admit, i don´t know, if UEFA takes that as the same kind of ownership that a takeover of Leeds would be.

I can't see them buying Leeds, I know the uproar in Germany has been rather load in regards to protests but it'd tenfold in England. It's not like they've took a minnow from the 6th tier of English football, it'd be a historic club. I can't see the Football Association allowing it anyway.

In other news, big game for Schanzer today - undefeated in 2015 FSV Frankfurt at the Sportpark.

yes, but the big match this weekend in Bavaria is: 1860 Reserve team vs. Bayern München Reserve team in division 4. 12,500 fans at the sold out legendary ground at Grünwalder street. Could have sold easily more than 25,000 tickets. Riots expected.

Bayern with an injury crisis at the moment, but Guardilola was brilliant tactically. He pretty much parked the bus against Dortmund and hit them on the counter. Shame Alaba is always injured, because he is such a great player. Muller on great form and Thiago is coming back. The only worry for them is Gotze not really hitting the heights he should do. Does not help that he has no regular place in the team. Alosno also is a bit of a liability giving away several fouls and losing the ball.

Dortmund are a complete mess. Hummels seems to want out and is fed up with the tactics. Gundogan and Subotic in the last year of their contract and no European football next year.

Good to see the better managers in the league: Schmidt and Favre getting the rewards and seeming to secure CL football.

Looking forward to the Schalke game, but I wonder how many of their players they will be able to keep with no European football.

Indicates how desperate you really are, when Bielefeld carries the hopes of a nation. Gladbach out, Leverkusen out - one couldn't really ask for more.

Bayern is doing my head in with their constant moaning about their injury crisis.

Could never stand them, but it starts to reach unhealthy levels of dislike recently......

@Rhineland: I can obviously understand your slightly *cough* biased opinion towards Gladbach, but I would have liked to see them in the final.

Imagine Wolfsburg getting through to the finals and then taking 1000 fans to Berlin. :(

Supposing that Wolfsburg will get to the final, they'll sell their allocation, no doubt: They will issue a new special edition of their latest Golf-version called "Finale", provide their dealerships in and around either Munich or Dortmund with a couple of thousend cars and hand out one ticket each to their new costumers...

Sorry, I am off to buy a new Schüco-frontdoor, special Arminia edition, comes with all the players' autographs who played against Gladbach. My neighbour will not like it, he's slightly biased towards Cologne.

Thomas Tuchel to become Hamburg manager in the summer regardless of which division they're competing in.

I think the people running Hamburg may have finally made a decent decision, and have done extremely well to get him to commit to the idea.

Surprised he hasn't ended up at a team in the top half.
