I don't know if there are any fans on here of any Bundesliga clubs but if there are...

What are your thoughts on this so called competition? It must be soul destroying just watching 1 team sweep up the trophies season after season.

There are some really well supported clubs across Germany and from the outside it's a real shame that 1 club completely dominates.
They have the financial clout , they buy any half decent player from their opponents . Due respect to Klopp ,he stood up to them with Dortmund 2011 -13 .

Why is it that they have so much more financial clout and fir such a long period?

Would German football benefit from some kind of reform with regard club ownership?

I think Bayern have won over 30 league titles with both Dortmund and Gladbach being the closet to them with 5.

I find it staggering that a nation of football fanatics just accept this as the norm.

Let's say we win the league again this year. That would be 5 out of 6. When do you feel we've become a problem for the Premier League?

Would you want City to lose for the benefit of the competitiveness of the Premier League?

Was it soul destroying watching City before 2011? Some of the time maybe it was, but I've got a lot of happy memories and our fans were a lot less entitled than now.

Our recent dominance in terms of titles hasn't been anything like what we've seen Bayern do. We've been pushed to the absolute limit in the majority of our title wins since being taken over and will more than likely continue to be pushed in future seasons. In the Premier League there are a number of teams with huge financial clout that in any given season compete and win a title. The same cannot be said about the German Bundesliga and as an outsider that has a fleeting interest in European football, I find it a shame that its not more competitive.

Yes, at times watching City was soul destroying. The hope that you'd get to Wembley in a cup final being dashed time and time again, usually by inferior opponents was pretty grim. Never mind the relegations or not having a pot to piss in. All while Man U were sweeping up trophy after trophy because the situation back then was far more similar to the current one in Germany with 1 team being far richer and subsequently more dominant than any other.

Bavaria is a wealthy state, with major companies like BMW ,Audi and Siemens. Sponsorship is not a problem. They attract the best players.
Best players from their competitors and usually on the cheap or free. Lewandowski, Matthaus and Neuer. Bayern even gave Dortmund money to keep them in business.

London is more wealthy than the North of England but it doesn't seem to hinder the sucees of Northern based football clubs.

Would German football benefit from some sort of reform with regard ownership in your opinion?

I know alot of BVB fans, they like the way things are run, the 50+1 rule means the fans will always have a voice with the clubs. Dortmund tried to buy success and nearly went to the wall.

Is that the general feeling amongst the majority of supporters from the majority of clubs in Germany?

It sounds brilliant in theory. The thought that supporters are not only listened to but are actively involved in big decisions the club look to take is obviously something that'd appeal to ant supporter of any club.

However, when there's a club, like Bayern who are just so dominant for such a long time, when as supporters do you get pissed off with that situation?

The only interesting players in the league usually attract the interest of the other top clubs in Europe, too. No, Bayern in the recent years did not get any half decent player from their opponents - or only when they were lucky.

You talk about ten years ago. The only player that we have left in the squad who played for Bayern 10 years ago is Müller. The ones from that time that still play play for Liverpool, Real Madrid or Barcelona - if it was players that Bayern was interested to keep - others at Frankfurt, Dortmund, Nice...

Bayern has a German core with Müller and Neuer, Kimmich (who came from 2nd league Leipzig via Stuttgart), Goretzka (on a free), Musiala (stolen from Chelsea), Choupo-Moteng (bench warmer at PSG), Gnabry (from Arsenal via Werder and Hoffenheim), Sane (from City after an ACL).

We have Pavard (from second league Stuttgart), Hernandez (Atletico), De Ligt (Juventus), Upamecano (Leipzig - via a release clause), Coman (Juventus - Conte does not need wingers), Gravenberch and Mazraoui from Ajax, Sommer since the winter because of Neuer's injury (Gladbach cashed highly for a contract that runs out in summer).

This Bayern buys any half decent player from their opponents is bullocks. If they are really good and could improve us they go to City (like Haaland and KdB) or elsewhere.

That no other team has won the title in the recent years is a mentality issue. Because of the money gap Bayern will win a lot of domestic titles - but not in the way they did the last 10 years. But we always think that whenever all of Neuer, Müller and Lewy (one is injured, one is still there but has another season contract, one is at Barcelona) are gone, that streak will be over. Maybe even this season. Nagelsmann did all to prevent us from winning it...

----------------------------------------------------

The most fans in Germany love their 50+1 rule. Our stadiums are relatively full. The prices especially for standing tickets are affordable. And if you are a fan of a club for the most of them a Bundesliga title is unreachable anyways. The fans of team x from abroad do not just care for the title either - a lot of them just like the league. And why should somebody care about that occasional fan from e.g. Great Britain who is fan of XYZ - he will not invest extra into merchandise from a German club and only might watch Bundesliga matches if they are in their TV package and not spend extra money onto it.

Today 15.000 away fans of Schalke went to a Sunday 19:30 match in Hoffenheim - 360 km distance.

I am not so sure Dortmund fans are so much pissed on the situation - there were seasons in the last decade when Bayern was vulnerable. But than Dortmund did not play well either...
