Burnley (3rd rd FA Cup) Post Match thread

It’s all relative though isn’t it.

Football price inflation dictates that a player 3% better than another nor goes for £20m/£30m/50m more.

There’s always been rich teams. City have spent no more now than other teams have in the past when football inflation is figured into the equation however the current modus operandi of many sides is a new phenomenon.

Teams didn’t park the bus and give away 78% possession ten years ago when Chelsea were running away with it nor 19 years ago when united won the treble.

It’s crap for the fans to watch and promoted Pep to say the PL is the most defensive league he’s ever played in. The PL now also has one of the lowest goals per game of the top leagues when it always prided itself as being entertaining and that all teams ‘would have a go’.

As I say, Burnley are effective and are punching above their weight and if you enjoy it then great, but it’s still shit football just as Pearce nearly drove away a mini generation of supporters with the crap he served up at home as well.

Teams look like they parking the bus because Pep is a fcuking genius you keep the ball as well as us all teams fall back and look like they are parking the bus. Can’t stand Dyche but every time I’ve watched Burnley they can play long ball and pass the ball well defend well a team like Burnley though to find a top striker who would want to go there is hard. Only question is if he had a club that actually wants to win trophies or finish top have plenty of money how will Dyche set his team up?

Absolutely it is. It’s still shite to watch and not entertaining though.

And we've been there. When we had nothing and our backs were to the wall, we would have lauded such a style as a need to just get points and stay in the league.

Amazing second period of play. Wonder what pep said to shift the balance. We were passing them to death, they had taken a good chance and missed one. Shame we can’t replicate our 2nd half performances and finishing in the 1st halves. Our 2nd half was a bit more direct, which is nice to see, the ball moving forward quicker. Well taken goals by Kun to ease the tension.
It could easily have been a lot more. So good to see KDB stoking the ball around like it’s a training session. We are blessed with his vision. Magic Dave was immense, gliding around and terrorising defenders.
Dyche is such a cnut, his attitude on the sideline was appalling. Complaining they weren’t ready when we equalised. PRICK.
Well done CITY, when’s the draw??
