Burnley (3rd rd FA Cup) Post Match thread

The BBC highlights just had our match on. Praising Burnley and Matthew Upson said that should be the blueprint for teams coming to the Etihad. Er, Matthew, they lost 4-1

Yes thought same, its a different plan every week now! I hope teams do press high like Burnley on another day we would have scored 6 or 7.
As for Dyche he was a victim of his own tactics, the gut at the free kick actually tried to delay it at the time i noticed him do it for a while before Gundagon passed it, if they wanted to set up to defend why did he not go back to his position instead of trying to stop us taking it, think that what pep was getting annoyed about.

Poor old Burnley and Dyche, today their player wasn't 10 yards away, last season we took a free-kick to far back ! lol

In which case he's spot on.

Burnley had a bit of a go, in their style, and pretty much ran themselves out in one half of football, but we were as patient as normal and in the end Burnley were rather fortunate it wasn't more.

I hope more come to do that :)

Great refereeing. We call them out enough when they get it wrong. The advantage should always go to the team who were offended against.

Westwood doesn't act the dope and slots back in we don't score.

Had Ederson been in nets we'd have beat that high press every time and absolutely battered them.

English media are lauding Dyche as some sort of genius when in reality he is just the new Sam Allardyce.
