Burnley (3rd rd FA Cup) Post Match thread

Dean Saunders on BT sport:

“It’s just class. De Bruyne has come on and hit two passes that nobody else can hit. They’ve just got great players and they’re just a step ahead... these players are lightning quick and have lightning quick brains and they’re physical specimens as well, they’re like athletes. You can’t stop them. They deserved to win.”
Did he have to change his pants after that?

Who was the scottish bloke doing the colour commentary? He was going on about the ref allowing us to take a free kick early was why we won, right up until the end.
He was also saying something about "when we played Stoke" etc.

Pretty certain it was an Irish bloke, Ray Houghton.

Sounded Scottish to me.

That Season they had Nicoll, Gillespie, Hansen, Dalgiish, Wark and Irvine that were were Scottish. It wasn't Dalglish or Hansen, not sure on the rest.

stunning 2nd half turnaround performance from City with Kun, Sane and Gundogan (who all took some serious jip in the match day 1st half thread) all proving instrumental in that change.
Amazing what is happening at this club as regards our will to win and drive.
apologies to poster FogBluein SanFran (?) for misreading his post in the aforementioned match thread....sorry old chap

Someone on the BBC on the wind up - probably a member of staff, or more than likely a Blue on the wum!

Adam Blaize: Manchester City killing football this season. Guardiola didn’t build those teams at Barca & Bayern & he didn’t build this one.
He’s on twitter with that name and the teenage che guavara picture if anyone wants to say Hi.

Very good performance 2nd half.

Big shout to Burnley for having a right good go in the 1st half and attempting 'the press' with such gusto.

What really struck me today was the depth and quality of our squad.

Imagine being behind and knackered and KDB, Walker and Silva come on. It's almost cruel.

Zinchenko had a very good game. Looked very much at home and like he belongs at this level. Hope he can build on that going forward.

Praying for the scum at home next round. We'd fucking arsehole them.

Poor first half by our standards but excellent second.
My critic of Aguero worked wonders in the match day thread.....,
Think most people if they were honest were a bit frustrated by Sergio, Gundogan and Leroy in the first half and would have subbed at least one of them at half time. But that’s why peps the manager and we aren’t. Whatever he did or said at half time changed it dramatically.
