I think it’s just because he’s leaving? Might as well use this to find the solutions we’d use throughout the season when Laporte isn’t here. Also, with Stones not there, Rico is the next best at stepping into midfield, so kind of has to play. Meaning Laporte can only play instead of Ake, which is never happening.
