Cherki needs to be playing deeper in a free role. This may sound crazy, but he keeps running himself into dead ends on the wide. We have not played with overlapping full backs for a few years now which Cherki would be exploiting.

I can only assume tiredness played a part.

After the first 10 mins I thought we would win 8-3 or something like that. Not to be. We were way too open first half.

We have goals in us at home and that’s where we need to make it pay.

I expected 3-0 tonight and we got 1-0. Top of the table but we need more than that tonight if we want to win this. A better team than Burnley would have capitalised on those chances.

Fa cup now and then a big rest before Everton.

As I said, we played within ourselves at times.

Burnley offered very little going forward for sure. Defensively they got their tactics right, and never capitulated. They were very well drilled.

They gave up 28 shots, 9 on target and 3.5xG.

They were not good at anything.the only thing that stopped this being a thrashing was bad finishing and bad decision making by us.

Our bad finishing is not good defending by Burnley.

Honestly, probably one of the most annoyed I've been watching us win. 28 shots and the keeper had to make, what... one half decent save?

Everything blasted over the bar, pea-rolled, blasted straight at a Burnley player, hit straight down the middle, fumble it from 3 yards. Take 20 touches too many and let every man in Burnley get behind the ball. We had so many chances it was embarrassing.

And despite creating all that we appeared to show zero urgency, just dabbed it around in the middle with no intention at all.

Awful.

Given Arsenal's recent form - and I mean the last 7-8 matches, not just the last 2 or 3 - why is anybody expecting them to win all 5? We played better tonight than they've been playing for the past 2 months
