Said before the match that I thought it might be a close affair, similar to the game against them in 2019 at a similar stage of the season. Wasn’t a great performance, but the three points are all that matters.

4 games prior to this, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. I'd say they can have a not so good performance and win!

Well deserved win. So many chances but just didn't have our shooting boots on.

I hope that's the end of O'Reilly as DM for now. He offers far more from LB. We need a bit more from our wide players though.

3 points is all that matters and it puts us top of the league, a position I didn't expect to see us in this season.

Very happy with that.

You can't judge O'Reilly on one performance. He scored twice against Arsenal at Wembley, and again at Chelsea and nearly scored at the end tonight. He can only do that if he's playing in the final third regardless of his starting position, but he's more likely to be in that position if he's playing DM.

Couldn't agree more - we all wanted a cricket score but kind of knew it wouldn't happen. We thought this even more so after scoring such a good goal after only 10 minutes. Thereafter, torture!

Not "Typical City" though, otherwise Burnley would have got a late equaliser.

We couldn't even grab a 2nd goal and kill the game off though from all those shots and corners we had ...... if Burnley had of somehow equalised right at the end this place would have exploded with frustration and misery, and it wasn't hard to see why Pep didn't look happy.

The season was looking a bit grim until then, punching away and looking for a treble let’s go boys and girls.

Correct but getting 3 points each week may not be enough

Every scenario is hypothetical, but 3 points each week is very likely to see us lifting the title because on their current form it's very difficult to make a case for them winning their last 5, especially with the pressure of two tough CL matches in between.

We should have won by three or four tonight and that's how Pep set us up. A missed opportunity, he expects Arsenal to win their games, and wanted goal difference to be in our favour.

We were sluggish and wasteful unfortunately.

Job done points wise but it's going to be difficult with the comparative remaining games to boost our goal difference more than theirs. I personally think the league will be won on points still and that won't ultimately matter.

True but we’ve had a really difficult run of games since the League cup final against good teams - and we won them all - & we now have a semi final at Wembley on Saturday. This was a huge game & we got through it. Pressure now on gunners
