I think Sergio evokes such emotive feelings because of THAT goal and hes our leading scorer and an true icon. Some on here constructively criticise him, others won't have any criticism. For me, I'd hate to see him leave but it's clear he's not the player he was, yet he's got 24 goals. His game relies on a burst of pace to find space off 2-3 defenders then get the shot away but he doesn't have that electric burst anymore. Too often he runs into defenders and loses possession when a pass is on to someone with space. On the flip side, he's still deadly when the balls played beyond the last defender and he has space to pick his spot like weds night. What to do with Sergio? I wouldn't sell him. No way, he's still got goals in him. Maybe next season he'll be used as a sub more, not a bad sub to have really. I'm wondering if the heel injury is affecting him more than we realise this season? Who knows....
