Burnley (A) Post Match Thread

another solid win without being threatened, i'll take that. All fairly solid, i'm glad Jesus scored. Laporte defence with Stones and Dias? interesting, could work.

I think with Aguero missing, Silva & Sane leaving, Walker becoming quite negative and Sterling's form far from a couple of seasons ago, we have been fortunate to see Gundogan, Foden and Cancelo flourish, and a renaissance for Stones and Zinchenko. Dies was obviously a top signing. There's good balance, it's just not as gung ho as it was.

The penalty not given was just silly. That whole system needs a independent review.

what is the point of saying that ? Have City stopped liverpool from buying or producing a strong squad ? ( i mean they had excess to our scouting ;) ) NO. It isnt Citys fault that liverpool didnt have a strong squad that is down to klopp. Each team has a squad of 25 and its up to each club who is in their 25.
Liverpool the fifth richest club in the world with higher revenues than us according to Deloitte. They have one of the world's biggest fanbases and pay higher wages than us. They just hide behind the money like so many English clubs.
We were booted out of Europe last season by Lyon. They haven't got much cash. As usual the media are giving Klopp a free ride. LFC are below Leicester in the table aren't they?

I didn't feel comfortable with the three at the back, certainly when Cancelo was joining in midfield.

Dias and Laporte were not the best and only Stones looked assured.

Balls down the channels dragging Laporte wider than comfortable and Dias trying to compensate, being caught on the ball a couple times.

Sheffield United also tried that curved ball down the left hand side channel and better teams such as Liverpool will defo try to isolate people out wide.

Stones, Bernie and Gundo were our stand outs.

Pep doesn't need to tinker and it could cost us against top class forwards.

He's been playing exactly that way since our run started but without Laporte who he's obviously trying to get back some ryhthm, if nothing else in case one of the Dias or Stones gets injured.. Four at the back changing to three when we've got the ball. I think against Liverpool he'll drop Laporte, put Cancelo at left back and bring back Walker at right back. That's because the only real threat Liverpool have now is pace wide and he won't want to risk Laporte or Zinchenko up against that.

Not all about money lol, even the guy tonite couldnt help but tell us how much joao cost and get it wildly wrong , we brought on a player that cost us less than 2 million , just the one sub , klopp hasnt spent his money wisely and assembled a squad but look over there

From post 121..... If ffss had of made a little side tap to ffs then we would probably have scored another. Just saying like as it's a team game all said and done. I also wish he wouldn't run into trouble as much and also pep guardiola stops his spitting as it's getting very habitual. Apart from these very small nuances it's onward and upwards to take on the scouse horde.
Yeah, for a cultured guy that is bogging. He rolls it round with the tip of the tongue before ejection too. Maybe it has more body than it looks. Whatever, Eeeeeyyyoooo.
Pep out.

I’d love to know how much of the revenue is laundered.
