Burnley (A) Post Match Thread

Very professional and dominant performance when we never looked in any danger. Another masterclass from Gundogan who arguably is the best midfielder in the PL on current form.

Should have scored more goals, but overall no complaints. Now let's put this Anfield bogey ground to bed.

BIG WIN

fuck the officials and the dodgy VAR and a helping hand MANCHESTER CITY WIN GAMES FAIRLY

tonight we was so in control it looked like a training game. burnley did not have a clue and the gap between the 2 side was that big fucking robbie savage said burnley have to kick us off the park ?? next thing he was put right and told to retract the quote

PS

i do think ederson should have been given a red card but the officials bottled it because of the fuck up on the pen

Would have taken that result before kick off, slight pity that we didn’t add another couple second half but difficult when you aren’t getting stone wall penalties.

Thought Sterling was a bit better tonight but his first touch is a bit rough and some decision making poor, he should have squared to Mahrez at start of second half.

Midfield 3 so good that we are not missing Kev or Dinho which is a massive compliment.

Thought Jesus was very good, his all round play showed signs of him regaining his confidence.

Defence immaculate again.

In summary another performance to demoralise any watching Rags and Dippers.

Burnley is one of those teams that everyone is always like "tough game that, you'll know about it" and we just batter them every time.

Some unpleasant posts regards Sterling. He has been one of our best players over the last few seasons, simply having a temporary dip in form, thats all. It's a team game, we are top of the league, so by definition currently the best team . City supporters should support the team.

Methodical permance tonight nothing more we look super solid but i thought we we were a bit ponderous going forward.raz and mahrez poor on both flanks gundogan and bernardo worked hard.on to the sousers cmmon you blues.

Sterling was crap again. Bottled on at least three chances when in on goal. It could have been more for all I know, as my dodgy stream was locking up all the time. Ended up watching it on NBCSN, but had to endure Stephen Warnock's co-commentary. That guy is so boring, I fall asleep whenever he talks!
Savage is better isn’t he?
Lescott & Crouch too. An improvement.
Absolutely loving our clean sheets.

So what is this magical threshold of clear and obvious that VAR assess needs to.be met?

Because there was clearly contact, and therefore obviously a refereeing error, that Had to be overturned.

Absolute fucking shitshow.

Great win, professional.

Who was playing where once Zinchenko came on, I couldnt keep track.
Everybody was everywhere. Simples.

I can't grasp how an arm can be used, in the upper shirt sleeve area, as a part of Mahrez's body to judge offside, when if the ball hits the same location and goes in the goal it would be handball!

Can anyone explain, am I completely missing something that's recently been introduced?

Hahaha, nice one.

Rodri really starting to settle in to the role and has been a big reason why we’ve not been conceding. Thought Laporte and Stones made some excellent forward passes. Dias great but not as great as usual if that can be a thing! Think he gave the ball away more than once which is poor for him!!! If you can believe that.

Bernardo good energy and seems back to the Bernie we know, Gundo really doing well further up top. Cancelo good stuff as well getting up and down being a fullbackfielder (yes I have just Christened this new position Pep has invented). Zinchenko the same.

Ederson nearly ruined his day being a bit rash. I’ll put it down to boredom! Mahrez never got out of second gear but didn’t really need to and played some good balls in. Sterling despite scoring was a bit wasteful. Jesus didn’t seem to get on the end of anything other than the goal and non penalty. Hopefully it boosts their confidence both scoring despite not being on top of their game.
