Burnley (A) | Post Match Thread

Wow, so that was the Burnley Wall of noise was it! And what an odious bunch of yobs they have sprinkled in their fan base. I wish Vincent all the best, but that looks like it’s gonna be a long season for him with that squad. Anyway a good three points, Superb finish from Erling and great to see him already off the mark. Thought we played well within ourselves and with a fair few players giving a 6 out of 10 performance. Early days. Not sure we can play erling Phil and Alvarez at same time. Hope Kev is ok and it’s not the hamstring. Ridiculous if it’s because he was brought back too soon.
 
Great start to the game and the season. Never expected them to trouble us and they didn't. Rodri and Kovacic levels above. Several players not up to speed yet but hopefully this will come. Hopefully Stones and DIas back soon but Kev might be several weeks.
 
Very good result, superb start and so good to see Erling scoring again.

Gutted about Kev though, and hope Walker is ok.
 
Fabulous from just before the second goal onwards. Total control over the game.

Kovacic is fantastic. Rodri is as immense as always. Haaland the everlasting freak. Gvardiol a unit.

Also thought Foden was fantastic. A really mature display from him all-round.

Walker best player on the pitch we simply cannot allow him to leave.

Haaland’s 2nd off the fucking scale.

Said prior to buying him Kovacic is lazy and didn’t see anything tonight to change my mind.
 
We looked very rusty and won easily 3-0. Should have been more.
Foden and Alvarez squandering chances in the box.

Can’t complain really.
Not a bad evening to start the campaign with.
