Sean Dyche on facing City: "They are a top side but they have got the demand of going to win the title. We have a different demand; to play well and see the season out in a proper fashion. You can't relax against City but I think there is that bit of freedom.”

Burnley have reported no new injury concerns and could name the same team for a fourth straight match.

Peter Crouch, Steven Defour and Aaron Lennon remain out, while Phil Bardsley is doubtful with a gashed leg that has sidelined him for the last three games.

Manchester City will assess Fernandinho, who was forced off against Manchester United with a knee problem.

City will hope that fellow midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, who suffered a knock in Wednesday's derby, is available.

Kevin de Bruyne remains out with a muscle injury.
So they have nothing to play for ? 7-0

I would go with Otamendi and Laporte, also Mendy and Walker.

Pep mentioned how impressed he was with Bernardo playing essentially a holding midfield role the other night, so possibly Gundo, Bernardo and Silva in the middle, so we can finally accommodate Leroy?

Kev is a big miss, he loves playing against Burnley.

I would agree with that. Otamendi is more up to the physical challenge. Mendy gives added height and stretches the pitch. This will be about craft and guile and lost of movement. Sane Sterling and Aguero give you that with Silva, Gundogan and Bernardo creating from the middle and finding pockets to play others in behind or using the full backs.

Survive the inevitable rough-housing of the first 20 minutes and they'll sit back in their 5-4-1 with no space between the lines and say come on and beat us with first Barnes and then Wood last 10 minutes trying to catch us on the break.
It won't be good enough another 0-2 to the blue boys.

You're minds fucking with you, if we win this game then you'll be thinking Leicester are a great side and if we win that one Brighton away is then seen as one of the tougher away visits when in reality if I said to you at the start of the season win our last 3 games against said teams you'd of snapped my hand off.

I’d have certainly snapped it off when we were 7 behind Liverpool and about to play them!

If we keep our calm and play like we have been doing we will be ok. We just need to try and kill the games as quickly as possible though like we did at Fulham. 1-0 is always risky. 2-0 less so.

In 2012 and 14 we won all of our last matches and this side is much better.

They have lost 3-1 to Liverpool, 5-1 to Everton, 2-0 to the scum, 4-0 to Chelsea and 3-1 to Palace and 3-1 to Watford at home as well as a loss to Newcastle and Leicester. They have lost 8 of their 17 games at home with only 1 big win against Spurs.

They are very beatable. Our hardest game will probably be Brighton if they are not safe by then.

'By all accounts'

Can you add a bit more please?
It's a figure of speech...

Any articles/news i have read are putting KDB as either knee or hamstring. These are rarely less than 3 week injuries which would put him out for the remainder of the league.

Fernandinho has been reported as having a problem in his knee and was scheduled to go for a scan yesterday. Again, that sounds likely to be more than a fortnight out.

These are all press articles so I'm asking if anyone has better info

Not overly worried, but we have to cut out the mistakes, especially giving away unnecessary freekicks and corners as Gudmundsson has a lovely foot, which he showed in the 1-1 draw we had against them.

Certainly merit in that. Please play Leroy.
The only way Leroy starts is by moving Bernardo inside.
For this game we have to be tough in the air & win more 2nd balls than them simple as that.

Close them down quicker than we ever do & we win this game early.

....................Ederson......................
.............Nico..........Laporte.............
..Walker.............................Zinchenko.....
....................Gundagun.........................
..............Silva............Silva...................
..Sterling..........................Leroy............
......................Aguero............................

It's been out there for a couple of days it's not kevs knee, get your injury info from on here as that is the most accurate, the media just guess half the time

I just want to see us go for the kill. If we can take the lead I don’t want us to sit on that lead play to keep the ball and try to see the game out, it’s far too dangerous and always leaves a shaky end to the game, get the first and then keep up the intensity to get that second and finish the tie beyond doubt.

I dont get this “poor record” at burnley people are mentioning? i’ve been on every city game at turf moor since the 1990 cup game & can only remember us losing once the other season? unless me being an old fart my memorys going :)

Our last two defeats at Turf Moor came in 2015 and 1974.

The only way the pain of losing to Spurs can be erased fully is for our boys to win the next three games that hunger and desire will be real and hard to resist on Sunday.
I think that is one of the biggest motivations Pep will use with the players now: after all that effort you've put in, do you want to finish the season with *only* a domestic cup(s)? That's what will see us over the line imo.
